Savory Beef and Yogurt Frozen Dog Treats

Finished cream-colored beef-yogurt frozen small round treats with very sparse tiny cooked beef flecks, in an open freezer tub on a clean counter beside an open freezer drawer

This savory frozen mixture uses a small amount of cooked ground beef with plain yogurt and broth. Blending spreads the beef through the mixture instead of leaving one large lump in each mold. Make sure the meat has cooled before combining it with the dairy.

Before you start

Cook the beef without seasoning and drain away excess fat. Keep the measured cooked portion separate from any meat prepared with onion, garlic or sauces for people.

How should I serve it?

Offer a small, manageable portion under supervision. Treats and toppers supplement regular food; they do not replace a complete diet. Ask your veterinarian before introducing this recipe if your dog has food allergies, a medical condition or a prescribed diet.

Keep extras within your dog’s daily treat allowance.

Storage and preparation notes

Keep portions sealed and frozen, and thaw only what you need. Label the container with the recipe name and preparation date. Do not return a licked or partially eaten piece to the batch.

See USDA storage guidance and minimum cooking temperatures. This recipe has not been kitchen-tested by My Dog Recipe; check doneness rather than relying only on the timer.

Can I pour hot beef straight into yogurt?

Cool the cooked meat first and keep preparation brief. Measure only the amount required so you do not accidentally turn a small treat recipe into a much richer mixture.
