This soft dough combines banana, pumpkin and ground flaxseed with rice flour. A treat maker gives the pieces their shape, but they can still be broken into smaller portions after cooling. Ripe banana is easier to mash evenly through the mixture.

Ingredients

• 1 banana, ripe
• 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
• 1 large egg
• 2 tablespoons ground flaxseed
• 1 cup rice flour

Method

1. Mash the banana with egg and pumpkin. Mix in ground flaxseed and rice flour.
2. Preheat a dog-treat maker according to its instructions. Portion the dough into the cavities without overfilling.
3. Cook about 4–5 minutes, extending as necessary until cooked through and 160°F / 71°C centrally. Cool before handling or serving.

How should I serve it?
